garden project
One area of design that I am specifically interested in is spatial as well as interior design. This is one of my personal projects where I wanted to design a garden which would consist of a water oasis, allowing people to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of their garden. I created these drawings on the app 'Procreate' on my Ipad.
This is a floor plan of that I imagined the garden to look like. I've included a seating area as well as sun loungers by the top of the garden where the house would be. The left side shows a seating area with chairs so people will be able to have food and drink outside on a nice day across from the pool where a cabana will be placed to keep yourself shaded from the sun. The bottom of the garden is then taken up by plants and palm trees to add some greenery, as well as a shower.
This was the first drawing I made with my initial idea of including a pool in a garden. A section of the cabana is shown which is where I thought people can relax in the shade. Surrounding the pool, it is meant to represent white stones, where the filtration system would be placed beneath them. This is so not much digging would have to be done when installing it and the stones keep it hidden.
This is another angle of the garden revealing the garden door which could be an alternative entrance to the home, as well as a shower for people to use before and after they get in the pool. More plants are hanging down the sides of the walls to create a scenic environment which may bring peace to people when they are in the garden.
This is the final view that I drew the garden from. There is a better view of the cabana to see how I imagined it would look like, as well as more plants and greenery including palm trees to make the garden seem more tropical to people which may give them a feeling of being on holiday in the summer time.
